Mejuri has always been a go-to for exquisite jewelry that can elevate any outfit. I’ve always found that a well-selected piece of turquoise jewelry can make a statement! However, finding the perfect combination of gold and turquoise has proven challenging. As turquoise is my birthstone, I’ve been on a quest for the ideal piece that beautifully blends my love for this gemstone with gold. Unfortunately, turquoise is often paired with silver, and the jewelry we typically associate with it tends to be bulkier than what I prefer.
After years of searching, I finally discovered a piece that truly spoke to me. I’ll admit, I’m not a big jewelry person, so I’m quite selective about what I choose to own. The piece needed to be small, functional, durable enough for everyday wear, and versatile enough to pair with most outfits.
My delightful experience with a previous purchase from Mejuri—a stunning gold ribbed ring known as their Eternity Line Band (pictured)—prompted me to revisit their shop recently.
This was when I stumbled upon the most delicate Turquoise Lotus Necklace. It was perfect, and I knew the quality of the piece would be up to par, as the ring I purchased has not tarnished. The three tiny Turquoise stones form the triangular shape of a lotus, sat on a beautiful and thin adjustable gold chain.
I believe that pieces like this should be a staple in your everyday life. This is why I was so drawn in by one of their descriptions of the product: “a classic layering necklace you’ll never have to take off.” That sounds like the kind of functionality I need! The Turquoise adds a bit of vibrancy to your looks, really elevating whatever outfit you choose to put on in a very subtle and simple way.
The chain of this necklace is made of gold vermeil. Gold vermeil is essentially sterling silver with a thick layer of at least 10 karat gold electroplated over top. If you don’t mind a lower base metal, gold vermeil is a great option when it comes to long-lasting and durable jewelry. This is only one of the ways Mejuri ensures sustainability in their products. I think I can confidently say that turquoise is a gemstone that will never go out of style. What is your birthstone, and do you have any favorite jewelry pieces associated with it? I would love to hear about your favorites!
