For as long as I can remember, I have been disappointed in my tweezers. The hair on my body is thick, dark, and coarse, so it is a constant battle between my hair and various hair removal methods. So many of my tweezers dulled out after a short time and could no longer even grasp hairs, and I would find myself feeling defeated!
When my last “drugstore alternative” pair of tweezers dulled out on me, I decided that enough was enough. I walked down to Ulta that very day and asked a worker what their favorite, most effective tweezer brand they sold was. Immediately, the gentleman said “Oh, you need Tweezerman,” and I was directed to what are potentially the most expensive pairs of tweezers I’ve ever seen. Coming in at a whopping $30, these aren’t cheap in the slightest, but I decided to pick them up and give it a try.
I purchased the Tweeze Set in Rose Gold, but there are many other options and colors available. They came in a pair, one slanted design and one pointed. The slanted tip is more designed for shaping, such as plucking your brows, while the pointed tip is made for removing more fine or ingrown hairs.
Tweezerman tweezers have allowed me precision and control while also being a very heavy-duty, sharp set. I haven’t yet met an ingrown hair that Tweezerman can’t remove, and that is unbelievably major to me. This pair of tweezers also comes in a miniature travel size for on the go, which is very useful!
I did some research into what makes Tweezerman products so expensive, and learned that they are actually quite famous for their quality. Both the slanted and pointed tweezer tips are in perfect alignment for great results. The tweezers are also made from stainless steel, which is both durable and sanitary. The company is also focused on the environmental impact – creating beauty products that last longer, less waste! If you’re interested in learning more about Tweezerman’s sustainability journey, you can explore it in detail on their sustainability website.
I like to clean my tweezers after nearly each use with an alcohol wipe to keep them clean and clear of buildup so they can continue to effectively pull hairs.
Now, to help prevent ingrowns from forming, I really enjoy using my European Wax Center Ingrown Hair Wipes. If you like, you can see me talk more extensively about the wipes’ counterpart, their Ingrown Hair Serum, in my Body Care | Shower Routine blog.
One final note:
Beware of counterfeits! Some companies appear to be selling Tweezerman lookalikes online.
By doing some research, I highly recommend purchasing Tweezerman from a reputable seller, such as Ulta, Sephora, or directly from the official Tweezerman website.
Have you used Tweezerman’s tweezers? Is there another brand you would recommend? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
As always, thank you for reading!
