I’ve been loving the Wonder Cloth, an exfoliating makeup-removing washcloth. It’s incredibly effective—just wet it with warm water, gently rub it across your face, and watch as it effortlessly removes your makeup. When rinsed, the makeup washes away easily. I typically use it for a few days before tossing it in the laundry.
Cleansing is a crucial step in any skincare routine as it removes dirt, oil, and impurities that can clog pores and cause breakouts. It’s recommended to cleanse your skin once or twice a day, in the morning and/or before bed. Whether you wear a full face of makeup daily or just a touch of mascara, removing it can often feel like a hassle, requiring multiple products and becoming a tedious task.
Makeup remover clothes are an eco-friendly solution for erasing all traces of makeup. The Wonder Cloth, in particular, stands out as a safe and economical choice, leaving your complexion smoother and cleaner. It’s ideal for sensitive skin, working effectively even with just water. Its soft fibers gently exfoliate and penetrate deep into your pores, wiping away makeup and impurities. The Wonder Cloth is 100% hypoallergenic, dermatologist-approved, chemical-free, vegan, and cruelty-free—making it the perfect product for your face.
In the evenings, I’ve been experimenting with the Wonder Cloth to remove the day’s makeup, and it’s been working wonderfully. I pair it with my favorite Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Mattifying and follow up with the Salicylic Acid Cleanser from The Inkey List for a thorough cleanse.
First, I use the Micellar Water to remove any makeup or other products from my skin. I find it most effective to soak a cotton pad with the product, hold it to my eye for about 30 seconds, and then gently wipe away the makeup. Next, I apply the Salicylic Acid Cleanser, which is ideal for oily or acne-prone skin. Use a gentle cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, look for a cleanser that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. If you have dry or sensitive skin, choose a cleanser that is fragrance-free and contains hydrating ingredients.
I then massage the Salicylic Acid Cleanser into my face. Afterward, I dampen the Wonder Cloth with warm water and gently work in circular motions to ensure any remaining makeup is removed. The Wonder Cloth doesn’t require hard pressure or scrubbing, which can irritate the skin, making it safe to use over the delicate eye area. The result? A fresh, clean face, perfectly prepped for moisturizing!
The Wonder Cloth has a unique blend of plant pulp and 100% cotton fibers. While it’s both machine washable and dryer safe, I personally prefer to air dry it. It becomes noticeably softer with air drying, possibly because the dryer heat might shrink the fibers. I stick to a gentle machine wash once a week to ensure its longevity and effectiveness, avoiding any dyes, fragrances, bleach, or softeners. For daily upkeep, simply wash the cloth in cold water after each use and let it air dry. This keeps it fresh and ready for your next skincare routine. With proper care, the Wonder Cloth outlasts standard washcloths, making it a durable and cost-effective addition to your makeup removal routine.
Key advantages of using Wonder Cloth:

In addition to the Wonder Cloth, the brand also offers the Wonder Mitt and Wonder Quickie. The Wonder Mitt is designed for bathing, fitting over your hand like a mitt. The Wonder Quickie is a smaller, more portable option for on-the-go makeup removal. Both products share the same eco-friendly, chemical-free benefits as the original Wonder Cloth.
